At the heart of the Lot Valley, between Rouergue and Auvergne, stretches the vineyard "Entraygues Le Fel".
As VDQS (label guaranteeing quality of wine) since 1945, the AOC (PDO, Protected Designation of Origin) was brightly obtained in May 2011. On around twenty hectares, our wine-growers are proud to perpetuate the wine-making tradition which dates back to the Roman occupation.
Only the construction in terrace cultivation enables to master the enclosed valleys of the Lot and the Tuyère rivers and to shape vineyards.
The wine-making terroirs are from two kinds of hillsides of schist in the West (Le Fel), barène soil and granit in the East (Entraygues).
Facing due south enables the maximum days of sunshine all year long.
The altitude varies between 200 and 400 m. The climate suffers from the double influence of the Mediterranean Sea and of the Massif Central.
The production of this vineyard is about 800 hectolitres being some 100 000 bottles (white: 25%, red: 50%, rosé: 25%).
The grape varieties essentially are the Chenin for the white wines (dry and very perfumed); the Cabernet franc and the Fer servadou for the rosé and red wines (fruity, aromatic and mellowness).
The establishement on a vineyard of wine-making tradition ensures authenticity and typicality to the wines.
